Yesterday was one of the most wonderful days in my life, with the exception of having two sons and marrying my best friend.
While in California, I met a minister who also happens to be an actress and on the board of a small, independent film company. She expressed interest in turning my book, The Rape of Innocence, into a feature film/movie. We exchanged numbers and I waited. The wait seemed to take forever. Little did I know, she was attempting to contact me for weeks on end without any luck (due partially to my unwillingness to answer for unknown numbers). So today, I kind of accidentally answered the phone and it was the woman of God, Patricia Coleman. I was blown away.
Basically, it's a wrap! The company is definitely willing to make my book into a film, and further want me to be highly involved with the film-making process, even down to being a part of the trailer. Needless to say, I was outdone... this little country girl born and raised in Arkansas going to film... who would have imagined?
To put a cherry on top of all of that, she also has been and is continuing to promote Living Waters Publishing Company to people I'd have never reached without her, people who already have a level of notoriety. It's unbelievable! She prayed over every book we published, gave me a plan to rejuvenate the company (particularly with all the layoffs we had to perform recently), and has committed herself to helping me. Those type of things don't happen everyday to everyone. I just wanted to share the great news.
PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE keep praying for the favor of God over my family, this film deal, and the business and authors we have. I was starting to lose hope, but God made a promise and yesterday was a major piece coming to pass.

wow..I hope it becomes a reality.
Great news, Lacresha. I knew it would happen for you eventually. With all you do on Twitter, it's a wonder it hadn't happened before now.
Congrats, girl. You deserve it. Let me know if you need me to run anything about you on my blog.
That's fantastic news. Congratulations.
Congratulations, Lacresha! It couldn't happen to a more deserving person, and a movie based on your book will truly be a blessing to the world!
Lacresha!! What absolutely wonderful news! This can only be the hand of God! Blessings, blessings, blessings!
Go God! Isn't it great how God answers all the hits of the enemy with blessings that are above all that we can ever ask or imagine?!

Congratulations my friend! You'll have my prayers, and an open spot on my blog whenever you need it.
Quality takes time and the time is right for you now.
Lacresha, that's wonderful news! Must have been God prompting you to pick up that phone. I'll continue to pray for you and your family.
Praise the Lord! That is excellent news. I am so happy for you. And, I understand not answering unknown numbers. I don't answer them either. I feel like if it is an important call then the caller will leave a message and I can call him or her back. If they don't leave a message then it must not have been very important.
